French students tortured and killed

TWO French students tied up, tortured and killed suffered up to 250 injuries, it was revealed today.
Laurent Bonomo, 23, pictured right, was stabbed almost 200 times, with his body cut up to 100 times after he was dead, sources said.
His close friend, Gabriel Ferez, 23, far right, suffered around 50 injuries during a long ordeal at his friend’s bedsit in south-east London.
Sources said both men were unable to move after being bound and gagged some time before 10pm on Sunday.
Investigators believe an accelerant was poured on or near their bodies, possibly in a bid to destroy evidence, before the flat was set on fire.
The men were believed to have been playing a computer game when they were attacked by one or more men in Sterling Gardens, New Cross.
Detectives said the flat had been burgled six days earlier, and believed keys had been used by the killer.
The two men were studying bio-engineering at Imperial College London and the University of Clermont-Ferrand, a town twinned with Aberdeen.
Police said they had been “entirely innocent”.
