SETTLING down for yet another feast of football at the Euro championships, the last thing on my mind was cooking.
Beer in hand, remote control at the ready, there was no way I was going anywhere near a hob.
Cue a short trip to the Big Wok.
I opted for the vegetable curry with boiled rice (£5). Normally I prefer my curries like my holiday destinations, the hotter the better.
But Big Wok served up a real surprise, with a sweet curry packed full of red and green peppers. The portions were huge and left me struggling to clear my plate.
My friend plumped for the chicken curry (£5.50) with boiled rice, again the subtle sweet under-taste receiving the thumbs up. Succulent chunks of chicken were drenched in a dark brown sauce packed with veg.
She was unable to finish her portion, despite the great taste.
At just £10.50 for the lot the meal was a winner.
