Sultan’s Tandoori: 21 Moir Crescent, Northfield, Aberdeen

Published:

SINCE my new kitchen was installed a couple of weeks ago I’ve used any excuse not to mess up my shiny worktops.

So any hint of a takeaway is greeted with relish, and clutching the latest menu to pop through my door I ordered in our supper.

Kashmiri chicken massala (£6.95), chicken tikka massaia (£7.25), murgh malai (£6.95) and chicken patia (£4.95).

Although all the dishes had large juicy chunks of chicken and very generous helpings of the various sauces, top favourite was the tikka masaia. Creamy and bursting with flavour, and a perfect spicy tang. The sweet and sour patia, normally my daughter’s favourite, while packed with flavour, was just a little nippy for her taste. The remaining dishes were equally enjoyable, though very similar in taste. Two pilau rice (£1.95 each) and a nicely spiced tasty Kashmiri Nan (£2.25) completed the meal.
