Snappy Tomato Pizza: Huntly Street, Aberdeen
Published:
AFTER a hard week’s work, with an impending visit from my younger sibling the last thing I felt like was hauling out all the pots and pans to make a slap-up meal.
So we headed for Snappy Tomato Pizza on Huntly Street which boasts the best American-style pizzas in town.
These massive, thick-crust pizzas are square, making them easier to eat.
We opted for the large, nine-slice, barbecue chicken topping with a sweet and tangy sauce, chunks of meat and extra pepperoni and mushroom (£11.80).
Swapping the run-of-the-mill tomato sauce gave the pizza an usual and tasty twist.
Some of the sides were too tempting to miss so we ordered onion rings (£1.49) and loaded cheesy potato skins (£2.75) with sour scream and chive dip (25p) and garlic bread (£1.35).
The whole lot came to just £14 with a special multi-buy deal and there were plenty of leftovers for snacking the next day.
