Hugh Laurie could play Disney film villain

HUGH Laurie could be set to star as a villain opposite George Clooney in a Disney sci-fi film, according to reports.

The former House star is reportedly being lined up for a role in Tomorrowland, directed by Ratatouille and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol film-maker Brad Bird.

Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof has penned the script for the film, due out next year, along with Jeff Jensen. But the project remains highly secretive.

Hugh Laurie was recently linked to the role of notorious pirate Blackbeard in US action-adventure TV series Crossbones.

Hugh’s role as a genius but cranky doctor in House propelled him to stardom in the US.
