COVE Rangers today confirmed they expect to finally move to a new £3 million stadium at Calder Park by 2015.
Highland League Cove’s bid to quit Allan Park and move to a new ground appeared to be in doubt after Aberdeen City Council blocked their plans to redevelop Calder Park with the aid of Aberdeen FC.
Cove chairman Keith Moorhouse allayed those fears by revealing council chiefs Willie Young and Barnie Crocket have already promised they will do all they can to ensure clearance is given so work can begin this year.
Moorhouse admitted he’s now confident Cove will be playing out of their new ground by the start of the 2015-16 season.
