Woman fighting for life after crash

A WOMAN had to be airlifted to hospital after a crash between a bus and a car left her with life-threatening injuries.

She was taken from the scene after the smash – involving a Ford Fiesta and a single-decker coach – on the A947 Aberdeen to Banff road, near Birkenhills.

The woman, 77, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by helicopter.
