A LEARNER driver and her mum have both been charged with drink-driving after crashing into a parked car during a lesson in Aberdeen.

The pair were stopped by police after their black Honda Jazz collided with a stationary Vauxhall Corsa.

The 44-year-old mother and her 22-year-old daughter were alleged to be almost double the drink-drive limit following the incident on the Beach Esplanade.

The daughter, who was a provisional licence holder, was said to have no insurance for the vehicle.
