Former senior police officer steps down as chief executive of Acvo

A RETIRED senior police officer charged in connection with allegations of assault today quit his post as a charity boss.

Ian Paterson has stood down as chief executive of Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations (Acvo).

A spokeswoman for Grampian Police said: “Following an investigation into allegations of assault, Grampian Police can confirm that a 61-year-old man has now been charged.”
