Motorbike stolen from North-east street

POLICE are investigating the theft and attempted theft of two motorbikes in a North-east town.

A £7,000 silver BMW 1200GS, registration ST08 FYX, was chained up outside a Newmachar home on Oldmeldrum Road when it was taken.

A Grampian Police spokeswoman said the BMW was stolen between 9pm on Saturday and 8am on Sunday.

The spokeswoman said another motorbike was targeted between 1pm and 6pm on Sunday, on Greens Way in Newmachar.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity is urged to call the police or Crimestoppers.
