A VIGILANTE who stabbed a paedophile seven times has been found guilty of attempted murder.
Gary Martin, 32, carried out the frenzied blade attack on George Taylor the day after he raped a child.
The High Court in Livingston heard how the pair had been staying in the same bed and breakfast on Shore Street in Fraserburgh when the June 2011 incident happened.
Advocate depute Alastair Carmichael reminded the jury in his closing speech that Mr Taylor had admitted and had pleaded guilty to raping a child shortly before this incident.
Martin was remanded in custody and the case was adjourned until November 28 at the High Court in Glasgow.
