Man arrested in Aberdeen rape hunt

A MAN has been arrested in connection with a rape investigation in Aberdeen.

The 21-year-old was detained after one of the largest investigations in recent times was launched by Grampian Police.

A team of more than 130 officers was deployed after a 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped in Aberdeen’s Bedford Avenue on Saturday morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Dunn, who is leading the inquiry, today thanked residents for their co-operation and patience with his officers.
