ABERDEEN FC skipper Russell Anderson admits fears it could be his last crack at cup glory will be his main motivation at Pittodrie this evening.
Anderson leads the team against St Mirren in the quarter-finals of the League Cup desperate to move one step closer to ending Aberdeen FC’s 12-year wait to make it to a major final.
He is the only survivor of the last Aberdeen side to compete in a League Cup final still playing in Scotland’s top flight. Anderson was at centre-back, alongside Norwegian Thomas Solberg, when they went down 2-0 to Celtic in 2000.
