Aberdeen FC’s McGinn spoils party for Ronaldo
Niall on target as Irish run Portugal close
ABERDEEN FC winger Niall McGinn was delighted to strike the goal that crashed Cristiano Ronaldo’s party.
The Aberdeen FC winger scored the goal that earned Northern Ireland a World Cup qualifying point in Portugal.
The night was meant to be a celebration for Real Madrid star Ronaldo, who was given a special presentation before the game as he earned his 100th international cap. But it was McGinn’s finish that took the Irish to within 11 minutes of a famous victory before Helder Postiga’s late equaliser.
