Warning as heavy rain expected to lash North-east
Forecasters predict 3in of rain

A WEATHER warning was today issued for the North-east, with rain expected to lash the area.
The Met Office said up to 80mm (3in) could fall on higher ground.
The warning has also been issued for lower ground, with showers expected to begin in the early hours of tomorrow.
