A GHILLIE today said he feared children paddling or swimming at a popular beach could be attacked by seals.

Udny Trust head ghillie George Moodie spoke out after it was revealed a badly-injured dog had to be put down when it was savaged by a seal.

The attack on three-year-old black labrador Fly, which left him with both hind legs crushed, his rib cage smashed and left eye torn out, happened near the Ythan Estuary at Newburgh.
