Kilmarnock manager was Aberdeen FC fan as a youngster

KILMARNOCK manager Kenny Shiels has confessed he was an Aberdeen FC fan as a youngster.

It’s why he has always relished clashes against Aberdeen FC, including today’s SPL meeting at Rugby Park.

The Killie boss said: “I was told to pick a Scottish and English club and went for Aberdeen and Chelsea.

“It worked out well for me because both clubs won cups in 1970.”
