A STUDIOUS Aberdeen golf caddy was amazed when a chance meeting saw him fulfil a life-long ambition.

Tom Kipling was starting to worry that his dreams of completing a masters degree in petroleum geo-sciences had ended up in the rough.

But two weeks after a chance meeting with a boss at oil firm Apache, Tom, 23, was delighted to hear the firm had arranged to pay the £8,000 tuition fees for his studies at the University of Aberdeen.
