ABERDEEN FC boss Craig Brown today defended playing a lone striker – despite his side netting just three goals in the opening six SPL games.
Brown admitted he is likely to go with one main striker again when they face Motherwell on Sunday.
That would go against calls from Pittodrie legends and Evening Express columnists Joe Harper and Stewart McKimmie.
Both claim the 4-3-3 system used by Aberdeen FC so far – with Scott Vernon the sole striker between wingers Jonny Hayes and Ryan Fraser – simply isn’t working.
