ABERDEEN FC today urged referee and former cricket star George Salmond to play fair with Russell Anderson.
Skipper Anderson’s appeal against the red card shown to him by Salmond at Inverness will be heard by the SFA at Hampden on Thursday.
If it isn’t upheld Anderson will be banned from Aberdeen FC’s Sunday home clash against SPL leaders Motherwell.
Aberdeen boss Craig Brown today said of Salmond: “He’s a good lad with a great reputation for sporting integrity from his days as Scotland’s cricket captain.”
