Aberdeen’s Hogmanay fireworks could go ahead after all

Councillors demand a fresh look at ways to fund event

ABERDEEN’S Hogmanay fireworks display has been thrown a lifeline.

Aberdeen City Council’s Enterprise, Planning and Infrastructure Committee had been asked to scrap the popular event due to a lack of cash.

But at the meeting, councillors ordered officials to instead look at finding other funding opportunities and report back by November.
