Heat is on Craig Levein’s Scotland

Must-win clash against Macedonia

FIRED-UP defender Andy Webster today vowed Scotland will not buckle under the pressure in the must-win qualifier against Macedonia.

The heat is on Craig Levein’s Scotland side to beat Macedonia at Hampden tonight following a dire 0-0 draw against Serbia.

Anything less than maximum points would be a potentially lethal blow to hopes of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The pressure is on after the Tartan Army booed Scotland off the pitch at the end of the Serbia stalemate.

But Webster insisted Scotland will revitalise the fans’ World Cup dream.

He said: “There is pressure on us to beat Macedonia but we will handle it and go for the win.

“In international football there is always pressure, that is the joys of playing at this level.”
