Man held after five-hour stand-off with police

A MAN was today in police custody after a stand-off on a street.

Officers were sent to an address at Allochy Road, Inverallochy, as part of an ongoing criminal inquiry.

Police arrived at 7.40pm yesterday but shortly afterwards became worried about the man’s wellbeing. Officers broke down the door about five hours later.
