‘Refs must do more to protect Aberdeen FC stars’

ABERDEEN FC today called for the nation’s referees to protect wing aces Ryan Fraser and Jonny Hayes from the SPL’s boot boys.

Fraser and Hayes were the victims of several rough challenges from Hearts defenders during Aberdeen FC’s 0-0 SPL draw at Pittodrie.

Hearts defender Marius Zaliukas was fortunate to escape with only a booking for a late lunge on Fraser, while Arvydas Novikovas and Danny Grainger joined their skipper in the referee’s notebook for bad fouls on Hayes.
