Oilman dies after fall from Thai balcony

A 28-YEAR-OLD man has died after falling from a balcony while on holiday in Thailand.

Garry Masson was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after the accident at his apartment in Pattaya, and his devastated family flew to Thailand from their home in Turriff to keep a round-the-clock vigil by his bedside.

After spending four weeks on life support, medics said he was stable enough to be transferred to a hospital back home in the North-east.

But his condition deteriorated last week and he died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Monday.
