Aberdeen FC midfielder aiming to score 50 goals
Gavin Rae sets target before hanging up boots
GAVIN Rae is hoping a step forward with Aberdeen FC will help him reach a personal milestone before hanging up his boots.
Veteran midfielder Rae, 34, is delighted to have scored his first goal for his hometown club in their 2-0 extra-time victory over Morton in the League Cup.
The strike at Cappielow, his first for Aberdeen FC, was the 38th goal of his professional career. Gavin said: “Half a century is a pretty modest total in comparison to some, but I’m a midfielder, not a striker.”
