One Direction’s Zayn Malik in 24-hour Twitter U-turn

ONE Direction’s Zayn Malik quit his Twitter account, saying he’d had enough of the abusive messages.

But the singer did a U-turn within 24 hours, writing: “Sorry, I was getting some abuse on twitter but I dont want to let my fans down. So I am back!! :) x”

Zayn, 19, who is dating Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, had originally said he was “sick of all the useless opinions and hate”.

And in his “final” message, had written: “The reason I don’t tweet as much as I use to, is because I’m sick of all the useless opinions and hate that I get daily. Goodbye Twitter.”

After restarting his Twitter account Zayn had gained 650,000 extra followers within an hour.
