‘Aberdeen FC showed pride on the Clyde’

CRAIG Brown today praised his Aberdeen FC players for showing “pride and passion” to see off Morton in the Scottish Communities League Cup in Greenock.

He is convinced those qualities can help them at least match last season’s achievement of making the last four of the competition.

Extra-time goals from Gavin Rae and Scott Vernon saw Aberdeen FC squeeze past their First Division hosts into the third round.
