Woman tells of dramatic rescue after river plunge

A WOMAN today told of her dramatic rescue after she fell from her wheelchair and plunged into a river.

Liz Milne, 57, who lives in Ellon with husband Eric, 63, and has multiple sclerosis, cried out for help, and two women and two men who were close at hand came to help her and raised the alarm.

Although the water wasn’t too deep, Liz struggled as she has no mobility from the waist down, and she paid tribute to the “first-class” emergency services members of the public who came to her aid.
