Woman falls into river after losing control of wheelchair

A WOMAN had to be rescued after plunging into a river in her wheelchair.

A man was believed to have pulled the woman, who is in her 50s, to safety after witnessing her wheelchair slide into the water.

The woman lost control and crashed into the River Ythan in Ellon. She was recovered from a low embankment opposite a car park on Market Street.
