THE victim of a brutal assault today called for the “cowardly” thug who nearly cost him his sight to be locked up.
Paul Knowles, 22, is awaiting sentence after pleading guilty to the vicious attack on work colleague Alan Blundell.
Mr Blundell, who suffered a shattered eye socket and need two operations to fix metal plates to his face after the attack, today said: “Knowles is a thug. I hope he goes to prison to have time to reflect on what he has done.”
The assault took place as the pair were on a Christmas night out together in Westhill with their work, Blackburn-based Sub-Atlantic, on December 16 last year.
Knowles, of 29 Polo Gardens, Bucksburn, will be sentenced on September 13.
