A MAN was today found guilty of snatching a teenager off the street in Aberdeen and raping her.
Stephen Dickson used a set of handcuffs to restrain the youngster and drove her to Torry Battery in Aberdeen. Dickson, 49, then carried out a sex attack before fleeing the scene.
A jury of 10 women and five men today took just one hour to find Dickson guilty by a majority verdict following a five-day trial at the High Court in Aberdeen.
Dickson, who was placed on the sex offenders’ register, will be sentenced on November 2 after Lord Doherty deferred sentence for a risk assessment to be carried out. He was remanded in custody.
