DRIVERS could face hold-ups for four weeks as new traffic lights are installed at a controversial Tesco supermarket site.

Retail giant Tesco is building a new superstore on Aberdeen’s Lang Stracht which is expected to open in early winter.

The new traffic lights are to be installed to cope with the traffic increase generated by Tesco shoppers on the busy road.

Tesco is appealing against plans for a rival Morrisons store, proposed for a site only 600 metres away.
