A MULTI-MILLION pound supermarket scheme – which will create more than 100 jobs – has been approved for the North-east.

Developer Robertson Property has finally secured planning permission for a 50,000sq ft store on the outskirts of Fraserburgh.

The new store is expected to create about 140 full-time posts and will bring competition for Fraserburgh’s only other major retailer, Tesco.

A filling station attached to the plan will also bring supermarket-priced fuel to the town.
