Taxi driver attacked by passenger near Aberdeen

POLICE today launched an investigation after a taxi driver was attacked near Aberdeen by a passenger – who ran off without paying the fare.

The driver had taken a group of young revellers to an address in the Hillside area, near Portlethen, yesterday between 2.45am and 3am when the incident happened.

He was reportedly punched before the passengers escaped without settling the fare.
