Transport bosses urged to review Aberdeen bus fares

TRANSPORT bosses have been urged to review Aberdeen bus fares – with a claim they are among the highest in the country.

Mark McDonald, SNP MSP for North-east Scotland, said Aberdeen “has some of the highest bus fare levels in Scotland” and urged First Bus to look into its Aberdeen ticket prices.

First Bus announced recently that it was going to conduct a review of its routes across Aberdeen, but Mr McDonald said this was “a largely fruitless exercise” if bus fares weren’t also taken into consideration.
