A GAMBLER upset at losing his money in an Aberdeen casino caused £2,700 of damage to the building in a bid to be barred, a court heard.

Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard Scott Barron, 40, wanted to try to get barred from Grosvenor Casino in Exchequer Row, Aberdeen, to stop him gambling away his money.

Fiscal depute Val Bremner told the court that one of the front windows at the Grosvenor Casino in Aberdeen had been cracked by a bottle thrown by Barron, and the cost of the damage was £2,700.

Barron, whose address was given in court papers as 80 Marischal Court, Aberdeen, was fined £600 and ordered to pay Grosvenor Casino £2,700 in compensation by Sheriff Peter Hammond.
