NEIL Simpson today admitted he’s delighted Manchester United have agreed to face Aberdeen FC in his benefit match.
Sir Alex Ferguson has pledged to send as strong a team as possible to face Aberdeen FC on August 14 to honour fellow Gothenburg Great Simpson.
Ryan Giggs is likely to head the star cast of first team players from Old Trafford. Ferguson also hopes to persuade some of United’s past legends – such as Bryan Robson, Teddy Sheringham and Dwight Yorke – to play for the Red Devils to ensure a gala tribute to Simpson, who is being recognised for his services to Aberdeen FC as a player and coach.
