A MAN and a teenager have appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a pensioner.
Garry Munro, 30, and the 16-year-old youth – who cannot be identified for legal reasons – appeared in private on petition at Elgin Sheriff Court where their general address was given as Buckie.
They are accused of trying to kill a 66-year-old Buckie man, named locally as Jim Robson at Blantyre Terrace, Buckie, last Tuesday.
Both also face charges of theft and Munro is accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice while the teenager is accused of vandalism.
Neither made any plea or declaration and they were remanded in custody to return to court on July 24.
