MORE than 2,300 homes were left without electricity after a power cut in Aberdeen.
A black out at 2.50pm plunged 2,392 Aberdeen homes into darkness.
A Tesco Express store in Aberdeen city centre was forced to close its doors for around an hour-and-a-half because of the power cut on Sunday.
And staff at the Holburn Bar in Aberdeen were forced to serve customers by candlelight.
A Scottish Southern Energy spokesman said: “Within half-an-hour the number of homes affected had fallen to just over 1,500. The problem was caused by an underground cable fault.
“By 4.30pm the electrical fault had been fully resolved.”
