ABERDEEN’S David Law will tee off in his first European Tour event as a professional at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart tomorrow.
Law remained in the amateur ranks when competing in the KLM Open last season and the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond the previous season.
However, Law will not be treating this week any differently from the Challenge Tour events he has played this season.
Law, 21, said: “It’s obviously a big event but I don’t want to put myself under any extra pressure. It won’t be easy but that’s the goal.
“I am a better player this season and I’ve learned a lot just since the turn of the year on the Challenge Tour.”
Law, who turned professional last season, added: “I’ve brought my own game on and felt really comfortable.
“I’ve missed a couple of cuts but that was just down to mental errors.
“My game has been holding up and I feel I have not reached my full potential.
“I know I can compete and feel comfortable playing in those ranks.”
