THE family of a dad left in a coma after being hit by a car were keeping a vigil at his hospital bedside.

William Anderson, 24, was knocked down after he stepped out of a nightclub in Queen Street, Peterhead, and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after suffering a serious head injury.

It was understood he has undergone surgery on his skull to relieve pressure on his brain and doctors hope that they will now be able to revive him from his coma.
