Heavy rain sees Highland Games cancelled
Waterlogged ground puts paid to Stonehaven event
HEAVY rain has forced an annual event to be cancelled for the first time ahead of schedule.
The 2012 Stonehaven Highland Games will not be going ahead on Sunday due to the adverse conditions throughout July.
Games chairman Roger Barnett said: “The whole area used by the games is waterlogged, including Baird Park which we use for car parking.”
