Plea for more spending on North-east transport

Figures show 1% of transport budget spent on region

TRANSPORT bosses today launched a major drive for cash – after admitting that the Aberdeen area had lost out on billions of funding.

New figures show that just 1% of money spent on Scotland’s roads and railways has come to the region since 2005.

And of £1.3 billion of projects under way, none are being built here.
