A NEW takeaway at Aberdeen beach could create 40 jobs, the Evening Express can reveal today.

Plans have been put to Aberdeen City Council for a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) drive-through as part of the Queens Links Leisure Park on Beach Esplanade.

A KFC spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that we have submitted an application for a site at the beach in Aberdeen. It’s early days so we can’t say too much at the moment. A new restaurant would create 40 jobs for the local community.”
