Aberdeen school fire ‘started in the gym hall’

FIRE officials today said they believed a fire which ripped through a disused Aberdeen school had started in the gym hall.

Grampian Fire and Rescue Service has finished its probe into the fire at the disused Bankhead Academy last month, although the search for the firebugs responsible for torching the school is continuing.

Grampian Police confirmed they are following a positive line of inquiry.
