Police investigate reports of dog attacks in Torry

A POLICE investigation into a dog attack has been widened after a second incident in the Aberdeen community was reported.

Officers were investigating after a Maltese terrier being walked by 70-year-old gran Joan Murray was mauled by a Staffordshire bull terrier on Saturday in Torry’s Abbey Square.

It has now emerged a second attack, also involving a Staffordshire bull terrier, happened nearby just 45 minutes earlier.

Maureen Forsyth was walking her mum Amelia Henderson’s dog Lucky in Torry’s Glenbervie Road when it was bitten.
