A DRIVER who did not see a scooter before he pulled out of a junction has been found guilty of causing her death.

John Cameron, whose address was given in court papers as 8 Lubbock Park, Brechin, told Stonehaven Sheriff Court that despite looking both ways, he did not see Jennifer Chalmers, 53, as he pulled out on to Stonehaven’s Arduthie Road from Westfield Road on January 25 last year.

The jury took less than two hours to convict the 51-year-old of causing death by driving carelessly. Sentence was deferred until next month.
