AN OPERATION to catch flytippers dumping rubbish has taken place in Aberdeen.
Police officers carried out patrols on Thursday around Aberdeen’s Bridge of Don and neighbouring areas and a total of 35 vans and four cars were stopped.
Officers were targeting people transporting waste on roads without the proper licence and were also focusing on flytipping hot spots to catch anyone in the act of dumping rubbish.
