THE uncle of cancer-stricken Olivia Downie today told of his relief at having his niece home.
Yesterday afternoon a mercy flight bringing the seven-year-old back from Mexico touched down at Aberdeen Airport.
Kevin Downie was “over the moon” when it was confirmed Olivia had returned to Scotland from Tijuana where she had been receiving emergency treatment.
A spokesman for NHS Grampian said: “Olivia is in a serious but stable condition at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital following her return from Mexico.”
